How to use an air cushion massage comb to massage your scalp?

Using an air cushion massage comb to massage your scalp is a great way to relax your scalp, promote blood circulation, and relieve stress. Mastering the correct steps and techniques for using an air cushion massage comb can help you achieve a more relaxed scalp.

1. Preparation
Choose the right air cushion comb: The comb teeth should have rounded tips (to avoid scratching the scalp). The cushion area should be soft and flexible, helping to cushion the pressure. A wide-tooth comb is recommended to minimize pulling.
Combing: First, use a regular comb or your fingers to smooth your hair to avoid tangles and reduce tension during massage.

2. Massage Steps
Zone Combing: Divide your hair into several areas (such as the crown, sides, and back of the head) to facilitate massage.
Gentle Pressure: Press the air cushion comb flat against your scalp, starting at your hairline and moving slowly toward the crown and back of your head. Use the rounded tip of the comb teeth to gently press your scalp, avoiding pulling or tugging. Aim for comfort. Circular Massage: Massage tight or sore areas of the scalp (such as the temples and the back of the neck along the hairline) in small circular motions for about 5-10 seconds each.
Meridian Stimulation: From front to back: Gently comb along the Du meridian (midline of the crown) and the Bladder meridian (on both sides) to promote qi and blood flow.
Side Relaxation: Massage from the temples to behind the ears to help relieve headaches.
Vibration Enhancement (Optional): If using an electric air brush, turn on the vibration mode for low-frequency vibrations to relax the scalp.

3. Precautions
Pressure Control: Use enough pressure to slightly warm the scalp. Avoid excessive pressure that may cause redness, swelling, or pain.
People with sensitive scalps or dermatitis should use a more gentle technique.
Frequency and Duration: Massage 1-2 times daily for 5-10 minutes each time. Excessive massage may irritate the scalp.
Cleaning the brush: Clean the brush regularly with warm water and a mild detergent to prevent grease and dirt buildup.

4. Additional Tips
Using Essential Oils: Apply 1-2 drops of lavender or rosemary essential oil to the comb before massaging to enhance the relaxing or hair-growing effect.
Use with caution on wet hair: The scalp is more fragile when damp, so it's best to massage on dry hair.
Combining with Finger Massage: After combing, gently tap your scalp with your fingertips to enhance the effect.
